This year Country Trends takes on a new look and features 27 city surveys and three opinion articles from global hoteliers. It covers 1,100 hotels in 16 countries in Europe and nine Middle Eastern and African countries. Hotels from an additional 30 countries are incorporated into three regional analyses – Europe, Middle East and Africa. The report assesses the economic and tourism influences on the hotel industry, as well as future developments within each region. Results of operations in P&L format, down to income before fixed charges, are presented for each country, in domestic currency and regional analyses are shown in euro/US dollars.
