IH&RA 42nd Annual Congress

Oct 27 - 29, 2005
Kempinski Hotel Beijing, Lufthansa Center
Bejing, China

Themed “Orient Express: Destination China! New Markets – New Competition” the Congress includes a 1-1/2 day Conference featuring travel, tourism and hospitality industry leaders speaking on four key areas:

  • Branding – international brands vs. national Chinese brands
  • Training, education and human resources;
  • In-bound and outbound tourism;
  • International hospitality trends

...all as it relates to China, destined to be the number one tourism destination in the world by 2020, according to the World Tourism Organization, as well as the imminent source of new clients as the Chinese increase international travel to new and far-reaching destinations worldwide.

The Congress also offers social events and a sightseeing programme promising to reveal the undiscovered China thanks to the superior hospitality of the Congress hosts and Organizing Committee: the China Hotel Association; China Tourist Hotels Association; the Hong Kong Hotels Association and media partners including Hotel Modernization China and Hotel Asia Pacific.

IH&RA is also adding a new component to the Congress in 2005 - an exhibition of Chinese and international suppliers, incoming and outgoing operators and potential partners in the region so delegates can make vital contacts necessary for building business in the country. The exhibition will also welcome international hospitality schools and educational centres which wish to market their programmes to potential Chinese hospitality students.

IH&RA will soon launch the Conference Programme, Congress Registration Package, Pre- and Post-Tours and Sponsorship Opportunities. For regular updates, check the IH&RA Congress website at:
