AAA
As North America's largest motoring and leisure travel organization, AAA provides more than 47 million members with travel, insurance, financial and automotive-related services. Since its founding in 1902, the not-for-profit, fully tax-paying AAA has been a leader and advocate for the safety and security of all travelers.
AAIMHI (IMHI Alumni Association)
AAIMHI is the alumni association of the ESSEC Business School - MBA in Hospitality Management Paris, which operates independently from the school and serves over 1,300 alumni worldwide. As an ESSEC Hospitality (IMHI) alumnus, several membership options (AAIMHI, ESSEC and/or Cornell) are available to you. Your dues and donations are important to the schools and the alumni associations and they will impact the lives of both students and alumni. We thank you for your continuous support.
Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA)
The ATTA is actually about you, the member. Without your support and involvement, the ATTA will not succeed or even exist. The ATTA will work tirelessly to serve the industry both in the short and the long term. In the short term, we’ll work to bring you opportunities that drive new customers, lower your costs and increase your return on the existing business activities you pursue. In the long term, we’ll help implement industry standards, attack the thorny insurance issues, tackle initiatives that get adventure travel in front of the mainstream culture and work to get big corporations who should be investing in this industry educated about who the adventure traveler is. We’ll work to help build up a library of valuable research, work to define the industry or at least sections of it, and help bring unity to this exciting sector.
American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA)
AH&LA is a 94-year-old dual membership association of state and city partner lodging associations throughout the United States with some 11,000 property members nationwide, representing more than 1.5 million guest rooms. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it provides members with advocacy on Capitol Hill, public relations and image management, education, research and information, and other services to ensure a positive business climate for the U.S. lodging industry. Individual state associations provide representation at the state level and offer many additional cost-saving benefits.
Alberta Hotel Association
Established in 1919, this non-profit organization has a long and active history of working to strengthen the hospitality industry and of promoting tourism in Alberta. Today the AHLA represents approximately 450 hotels with more than 35,000 employees. The Alberta Hotel Association changed its name to the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association in the spring of 2001. Our Mission: The mission and goal of the AHLA is to provide an effective voice to both government and the public so as to enhance the image, the quality, and the efficiency of the hotel industry in Alberta.
American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (AAFD)
The AAFD is a national non-profit trade association representing the rights and interests of franchisees and independent dealers throughout the United States. The AAFD was formed by Declaration of Trust in May of 1992 with the mission of "Bringing Fairness to Franchising." Since its formation the Association has grown to represent thousands of franchised businesses throughout the United States. We currently have members in all 50 states and represent more than 200 different franchise systems. The AAFD's Fair Franchising Standards, Fair Franchising Seal, Trademark Chapters, and emphasis on Marketplace Solutions led to the Association's recognition as a growing force in franchising. The AAFD Purchasing Co-op and e-Commerce Marketplace add a new dimension to the value of AAFD membership.
American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)
AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization dedicated to making life better for people 50 and over. We provide information and resources; engage in legislative, regulatory and legal advocacy; assist members in serving their communities; and offer a wide range of unique benefits, special products, and services for our members. These include AARP The Magazine, published bimonthly; AARP Bulletin, our monthly newspaper; AARP Segunda Juventud, our quarterly publication for Hispanic members; NRTA Live and Learn for National Retired Teachers Association members; and our Web site, www.aarp.org. We have staffed offices in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
American Culinary Federation
What is the American Culinary Federation? A Legacy of Professionalism Since the Roaring Twenties...The American Culinary Federation, Inc., a professional, not-for-profit organization for chefs, was founded in 1929 in New York City by three chefs' organizations: the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique, The Vatel Club and The Chefs Association of America. Why should you be a part of the ACF? ACF membership confers a special status on those who hold it. American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF)
AH&LEF is the only educational dollar-dispensing, not-for-profit affiliate of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. In April 2002, it merged with AH&LA's other affiliate, the Educational Institute, to become the largest educational and training provider for the hospitality industry. For over 88 combined years, the newly formed AH&LEF is the premier organization for scholarships, professional certification, and instructional material as well as funding for industry research.
