Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)
Founded in 1951, the Pacific Asia Travel Association is the recognised authority on Pacific Asia travel and tourism. By dedicating itself to the promotion of this last remaining tourism frontier, PATA's uniquely structured organisation and its far-reaching efforts have helped unite the many facets of tourism in the region. PATA provides leadership to the collective efforts of 41 national government members, 48 state and local tourism bodies, 66 airlines and cruise lines -- all in all, nearly 2,000 travel industry companies. Our members also include companies that provide a wide range of services to the travel industry. PATA's Chapter membership includes 17,000 travel professionals in 80+ PATA Chapters located throughout the world.
Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII)
The Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII) is the world's largest professional association for B & B/country inns. PAII's mission is to support the innkeeper in the field by publishing the widely read "innkeeping" newsletter, as well as numerous other publications, a biennial international conference and programs specific to the business of innkeeping.
Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA)
The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) is the professional resource and premier educator for the meetings and convention industry. Founded in 1957, PCMA represents the interests of meeting management executives from associations, non-profit organizations, corporations, independent meeting planning companies, and multi-management firms who recognize the importance of meetings to their organization. PCMA empowers members with the tools they need to succeed as meeting professionals and to promote the value of the industry to their organizations and the general public. Professional Internet Travel Alliance™ (PITA)
The Professional Internet Travel Alliance is a professional trade organization that seeks to increase the marketing effectiveness of travel agent web sites. Our strategy to accomplish this involves the following steps: Set standards for how travel professionals should conduct business online. - Legitimize the online presence of its members with a web site review and certification process. - Educate members on the best practices in use by successful online marketers. - Support its members by offering a variety of programs, services and tools.
