MAI Systems Corporation Engages Alpha Microsystems To Provide Hardware Maintenance Services

IRVINE, Calif. -- MAI Systems Corporation [AMEX: NOW] announced today a fully executed agreement with Alpha Microsystems of Santa Ana, CA by which Alpha Microsystems will act as MAI's outsourced hardware maintenance partner for the company's domestic Legacy, Hospitality and Process Manufacturing hardware installed base. Under the terms of the agreement Alpha Microsystems will assume full responsibility for MAI's field service maintenance duties in the United States. Additionally, Alpha Microsystems field engineering staff has been expanded to include MAI's field engineering team who will now be employees of Alpha Microsystems.

"Following the dissolution and settlement of the agreement with Getronics, MAI's former outsourced Legacy hardware maintenance partner, we went in search of a business partner who could fully meet the needs of our clients in this market segment," stated Sasun Musliyan, President of MAI Legacy Division.
