Logibro Strengthens Its Executive Team With Two New Appointments
MONTREAL / Jan. 5, 2001--Logibro Inc, a leading supplier of advanced Enterprise and e-commerce solutions for the leisure travel industry, has added significant depth to its management team with the recent addition of two greatly experienced executives.
Claude Guay joins Logibro as Executive Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Business Development after 16 years at IBM. His recent executive responsibilities with the IBM Global Travel & Transportation Industry Unit have included Management Consulting, Marketing and Business Development, and Travel Distribution Solutions. A widely recognized and oft-quoted expert in travel-related e-commerce, he recently assisted in creating innovative e-commerce strategies for two premier international airlines, and has lead IBM's efforts in establishing e-marketplaces for the travel industry. Mr. Guay has also headed the IBM team that built a portfolio of solutions for Marketing, Sales and Customer Service for the travel industry. The solutions include Electronic Ticketing, Self-service Kiosks, Internet Distribution, and Customer Relationship Management. A Montreal native, professional engineer, and graduate in Industrial Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, Mr. Guay will be based at Logibro headquarters in Montreal.
Mario Settino has been appointed as Logibro's Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Settino, a chartered accountant, joins Logibro with over 20 years of experience in financial management, most recently with LGS Group Inc.--a large IT Services company recently acquired by IBM--where he served as Director of Corporate Development. Prior to LGS, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the Americas at Hoogovens Technical Services, a division of a major Dutch public company, as well as Chief Financial Officer of Enerchem Group Inc., an international transportation group. His early career included several years as a partner with SIA Group Inc. --an IBM-affiliated technology firm specializing in software development and systems integration--where he joined after serving as a Senior Manager for Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche). Mr. Settino will be based at Logibro headquarters in Montreal.
