MICROS Reports Fourth Quarter and FY2001 Results

COLUMBIA, Md., Aug. 29 / MICROS Systems, Inc. MCRS, a leading supplier of information systems to the hospitality industry, today announced the results for its fiscal 2001 fourth quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 2001. Revenue for the quarter was $90.2 million, an increase of $12.6 million, or 16.3%, over the year ago fourth quarter. Net income for the quarter was of $1.1 million, an increase of $8.8 million over the year ago loss of $7.

For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2001, MICROS's revenue was $325.4 million. The fiscal year showed a net loss of $0.7 million, or a $0.04 loss per share. Last year's revenue was $359.7 million with a net income of $16.2 million, or $0.91 earnings per share on a diluted basis.
