NBTA Hotel Committee Makes Definition Enhancements to NBTA Hotel Modular RFP for 2003
Alexandria, VA (May 8, 2002) --- The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) Hotel Committee today announced the release of its 2003 Hotel Modular RFP. Based on a survey of travel managers and hotel suppliers in December 2001, the Hotel Committee decided to clarify the wording on some of the questions to streamline and simplify the process of completing the RFP. All the data field types and sizes have remained the same. There are no technical or programming changes for 2003.
"Since we just announced the new modular format, we wanted to give everyone time to adjust to the new NBTA Hotel Modular format." says Wendy Nathan, Chair of the NBTA Hotel Committee. "This year, our goal was to make each question straight forward. The result will be the hotels answering each question as intended." Additionally, the committee added more details on the General Instructions to further streamline the completion process of the RFP.
The new modular format creates a win-win situation for both travel managers and hotel management. The modular RFP allows travel managers to customize the amount of information needed for their program, while at the same time allowing one standard format for hotels so they only have to complete the "general information" once and be able to concentrate their efforts on pricing strategies.
The NBTA Hotel RFP Modules consists of:
- Core Module
- Communication & Technology Module
- Geography & Transportation Module
- Safety & Security
- Services & Amenities
- Extended Stay Module
- User Defined Module
