MICROS Provides Bertucci's with New Tools to Enhance Customer Service and Transaction Speed

To enhance guest service and satisfaction at Bertucci's, MICROS has provided a fully integrated gift card processing solution through Value-Link. Value-Link gift cards replace traditional paper gift certificates and offer the restaurateur increased profits with upfront cash-flow. The gift card program combines card production, packaging, transaction processing, database management, reporting and help desk support, and is fully integrated with the MICROS 3700 Point-Of-Sale system.
MICROS has also provided a new, network-based credit card authorization system, which Bertucci's installed in early November. This system significantly improves the speed at which Bertucci's can process payments for its guests. With MICROS network-based credit card processing, authorization times are reduced from 15 seconds to less than 5 seconds, improving Bertucci's table turn time and guest service.
