Fairmont's California and Hawaii Based Hotels Replace Legacy Systems With MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System
COLUMBIA, Md., MICROS Systems, Inc.
Owned and operated by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, both luxurious properties have replaced their legacy point-of-sale systems with comprehensive MICROS hardware and software solutions.
The MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) is a cost-effective, highly usable point-of-sale system built on an open systems architectural platform. It is specifically designed to handle a high-volume, multiple-revenue center environment. The 9700 HMS can produce up-to-the-minute, customized reports in real time, and allows multiple users to operate other software programs while the system is in use. The system can also automate specific utilities, triggering reports and other functions at the same time each day, unattended.
"Fairmont enjoys a very positive working relationship with MICROS Systems at many other properties throughout our portfolio, and we are making this investment in technology with confidence," noted Vineet Gupta, Fairmont's Vice President of IT.
Jenny Kurdle, Vice President, Leisure and Entertainment Sales Strategies for MICROS, stated, "We are pleased that Fairmont Hotels is continuing to put its trust in our products and services. The 9700 system is easy to operate, yet still offers a depth of features that can improve management efficiencyand guest services. This enhanced functionality will provide far-reaching benefits at both The Fairmont Miramar Hotel and The Fairmont Kea Lani."
