MICROS Completes Agreement With Marriott for International Property Management Solution(s)
COLUMBIA, Md. -- MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, said today that it has completed an agreement with Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) to implement components of the MICROS OPERA Suite at hotels outside of the United States.
Integrated with Marriott's industry leading reservations system, MICROS OPERA will provide business functions unique to international properties, enhanced guest personalization opportunities worldwide, and a platform for continued international growth.
During a multi-year effort, Marriott brands outside the U.S. will implement components of the MICROS OPERA Suite, primarily the OPERA Property Management System (PMS) and Sales & Catering modules. This includes the following hotel brands: Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, The Ritz- Carlton, Bulgari, Marriott Vacation Club International and Marriott Executive Apartments.
