Security expert Bonnie Michelman to speak at the 2006 Hospitality Loss Prevention Conference
HOUSTON, Texas – International security and safety consultant Bonnie Michelman will be the guest speaker at HospitalityLawyer.com’s Hospitality Loss Prevention Conference December 6, 2006 in Boston, Massachusetts.
In her presentation, “Innovative Approaches to Protecting Your Facility…Roadmap for Overcoming Today’s Vulnerabilities,” Michelman will focus on critical security issues for the hospitality industry including workplace violence, hate crimes, terrorism, cybercrime, and protection of intangible assets such as intellectual property and a company’s good reputation.
Michelman, past president of American Society for Industrial Security International, has been the Director of Police, Security and Outside Services at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston since 1991. She instructs at Northeastern University’s College of Criminal Justice and lectures and consults internationally. She also serves as an expert in negligent or inadequate security litigation.
The Hospitality Loss Prevention Conference will offer practical advice on safety and security concerns including identify theft, employee fraud, hurricane damage and terrorism threats -- all issues that pose real and substantial risks to the hospitality industry. The one-day event is designed for operators, managers, human resource managers, general managers, line employees, risk managers, security directors, loss prevention directors, engineers, and hospitality faculty and students.
