Vaterstetten n. Munich | The Airport Conference Center, one of the biggest conference centres at an airport, has opted for Amadeus Hospitality as technology partner. For half a year, Amadeus Conference Management (Hogatex) has been used at the Airport Conference Center (ACC) now. Amadeus Hospitality is the hotel IT unit of Amadeus, the worldwide leading technology partner for the travel and tourism industry.
The Amadeus Hospitality conference management solution actively supports the organisation of all daily event business processes. From conference room reservation as well as setup, seating and catering up to accounting with SAP-R3 – everything is centrally managed.
Speed is the key of the event business. Habip Altiok, ACC Manager, affirms: “Up to 150 telephone calls require a fast response time to grab competitive advantages. Approximately 700 to 800 events take place in our conference centre each month. So we need a fast, safe, flexible and user-friendly IT solution that our team can rely on.”
Amadeus Hospitality already services other airport customers in terms of event business. The hospitality IT specialist does see the point. Habip Altiok says: “70% of our event customers are regular customers. So consultancy efforts are significantly reduced. And being able to handle processes very fast and reliably is very important. Due to the Amadeus solution we have optimised our workflows and so we can do more business.“ The middle-term target of the Airport Conference Center is an increase from actual 9.000 events up to 10.000 events yearly.
The Frankfurt airport is sometimes referred to as ‘throbbing city’. Therefore Habip Altiok comments on the partnership with Amadeus: “Amadeus is a technology partner that keeps up with our speed and provides innovation speed as well as professionalism. So we are ready for the future.“
Stefan Bezold, Sales Director Germany & Austria, about the signing of the contract: “We have convinced the customer that we can provide more ‘value for money’ - with a continuously enhanced event management solution that is setting new standards in this business.“
The Airport Conference Center (ACC) has been in business since 1988. Today the ACC offers 39 pleasing rooms with optionally bookable technical equipment for presentation. Depending on individual requirements and occasions, guests can rent rooms from 14 up to 247 sqm. The Airport Conference Center works like every other conference centre except for a special feature: the spaces can be rented by the hour. So the ACC team can currently and flexibly respond to inquiries. The customer can choose various services and only has to pay the selected ones. People appreciate this modularity with its transparency in price. This is how the ACC obviously stands out from usual conference hotels that offer complete packages only.
