16 June 2009

Agilysys, Inc.

CLEVELAND | Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software solutions, announced today that Charles Town Races & Slots in Charles Town, W.Va. has selected the Stratton Warren System (SWS) by Agilysys, an inventory and procurement solution. Charles Town Races & Slots, which includes a 150-room hotel, 5,000 slot machines and thoroughbred race track, is owned and managed by Penn National Gaming.

The Stratton Warren System is a full-featured inventory and procurement solution that maximizes purchasing power and reduces operational costs. Recognized as the hospitality industry’s leading inventory and procurement system, SWS automates the entire procurement process — from food and beverage to general property materials — and provides a fast and measurable return on investment by reducing labor costs and waste and eliminating time-consuming and error-prone paper documents. Features of SWS 8.0 include a new graphical user interface, store and forward enhancements, electronic invoicing capabilities, budget tracking and improved security.

Charles Town Races & Slots is using the SWS inventory module to keep a current accounting of items in stock and reduce inventory carrying costs; the SWS purchasing module to improve accuracy in ordering; and the SWS bar coding module to enable wireless data collection of inventory.

“We have worked with Penn National Gaming for many years and are delighted to welcome Charles Town Races & Slots as a customer,” said Tina Stehle, senior vice president and general manager of Agilysys Hospitality Solutions Group. “The Stratton Warren System will help the property obtain the most favorable prices on everything from linens to food and beverage. It also will provide the technology the property needs to stay competitive by reducing costs, conserving resources and enabling procurement staff to work more efficiently.”

Charles Town Races & Slots is a world-class entertainment venue, offering more than 5,000 slots, live and simulcast horse racing, and a wide range of food and beverage choices, including the 350-seat Epic Buffet. Hotel accommodations can be found on property at the Inn at Charles Town, which features 153 guest rooms and suites, several meeting rooms and the 5,200-square-foot Skyline Ballroom overlooking live thoroughbred races. The historic Charles Town Races has hosted live thoroughbred racing since 1933 and began offering gaming in 1997. Charles Town Races & Slots is owned and managed by Penn National Gaming in Wyomissing, Pa.
