
Chicago, Illinois -- Greg Bryan, CHA, PCAM, was presented with the prestigious American Hotel & Lodging Association’s (AH&LA) Lawson A. Odde Award at AH&LA’s Summer Summit yesterday. An industry veteran for more than 35 years, Byran was selected for this honor based on his outstanding contributions to the lodging industry, as well as his dedication to maintaining strong relationships between AH&LA and his partner state association, the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association (AzHLA).
Bryan is general manager of the Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn, a 250-room upscale resort hotel located just outside Grand Canyon National Park in Tusayan, Arizona. He has served on numerous local, state, and national hotel and tourism boards in Arizona and in his former home state of Montana. He currently serves on AH&LA’s board of directors & audit committee; AzHLA’s executive committee and board of directors; has been involved in the Arizona Tourism Alliance and Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce; and is a member of the Grand Canyon Rotary Club. His lengthy career has also led him to work with a variety of state and federal departments on behalf of tourism opportunities, legislative issues, and education.
Before coming to Arizona, Bryan had his own resort property management company in Whitefish, Montana, where he provided professional services for condominium resorts, as well as consulting and providing development services on projects. Bryan holds certifications as a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) and as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA). Additionally, he has sold real estate an has experience in golf course & condominium development.

This distinguished award is named after Lawson A. Odde, the second executive vice president of AH&LA, who was responsible for the modernization of membership expansion and financial operations. The Odde Award is given annually to a member of the AH&LA board of directors and is chosen by a vote of past Odde Award winners.
