HFTP Helps Educate During the 4th Annual BAHA Conference in London

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) representatives will educate attendees this week on hospitality technology during the 4th Annual BAHA (British Association of Hospitality Accountants) one-day conference and exhibition. The conference — entitled "The Essential Toolkit for Managing the Bottom Line" — is Thursday, November 19 at the Sofitel Hotel, London Heathrow at Terminal 5.

"With so many members that are experts in their respective fields in hospitality finance and technology, HFTP often participates in allied associations' conferences where we can lend our knowledge to fellow colleagues," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. "The BAHA conference is a great resource for hospitality professionals and HFTP looks forward to discussing the latest in hospitality technology issues with attendees."

HFTP highlighted sessions include:

  • Wolfe and HFTP Global President Terry Price CHAE, CHTP, CPA, CIO of The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa, close the conference by addressing the future of hospitality technology.
  • Ted Horner, HFTP member, inductee into the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame and owner of E. Horner & Associates, hosts a debate with Mike Preston, founder of Prismea consulting, on whether or not companies should invest in new technologies or people.
  • Horner discusses renegotiating property management systems during a workshop break away session.

Other topics addressed during the conference include revenue trends, the impact of green issues and corporate social responsibility, human resource issues and more. The conference also includes an exhibition where attendees can view the latest technologies relevant to the hospitality industry.
