The Downtown Toronto Intercontinental Hotel Showcases Original Works of Métis Artist Timothy D. Mohan

March 1, 2010 -- TORONTO, ON - The downtown Toronto Intercontinental Hotel, located in the heart of the city's entertainment and financial districts, has formed a unique artistic pairing in a partnership with Timothy D. Mohan, the renowned Métis artist. Mohan's original works have been chosen to create a stunning lobby art gallery exhibition, in the heart of the entertainment and financial districts.

"It's an ideal partnership," says Renaud Payette, general manager, InterContinental Toronto Centre. "Our goal is to provide unique experiences for visitors to Toronto and Timothy's work beautifully showcases the themes of First Nations Culture that enhances guests seeking a connection with the Aboriginal Canadian community.

One of the hotels near Metro Convention Centre Toronto, the Intercontinental Toronto Centre features some of Mohan's best work including his Freedom and Sunrise series. Guests of the downtown Toronto luxury hotel and locals alike are invited to browse through the hotel and view the exhibition where the original works are for sale. Mohan worked in 2004 and in 2006 with Canadian fashion icon Linda Lundstrom who chose his "River Woman" motif for her fall La Parkas series of clothing. Mohan's work is a regular feature of both ANN and WNN newspapers.

The Intercontinental Toronto Centre hotel not only offers this magnificent Mohan art exhibition. One of the best Toronto gourmet restaurants near Union Station Azure offers pre-theatre menus and multi course seasonal tasting menu created by Executive Chef Klaus Seewald, designed to tantalize the senses of gastronomic neophytes and gurus alike. This Toronto theatre district restaurant is the perfect spot to continue a meaningful sensory experience after viewing the Mohan gallery in an elegant setting.
