Genares Worldwide Reservations Services, the hotel industry’s fastest-growing global representation and reservations company with more than 2,800 hotels serviced throughout the world, has added the Carmel Mission Inn in Carmel, CA to its portfolio of hotels and casino resorts.

The 165-room Carmel Mission Inn is the largest full-service hotel in Carmel, with full conference facilities and a newly designed lounge and restaurant on site. It is conveniently located near all of the Monterey Peninsula communities – Carmel, Carmel Valley, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach and Big Sur.

“Realizing the importance of having a strong mobile presence, we were interested in a cost-effective way to implement a mobile-formatted booking engine on our hotel’s mobile platform. We searched the market for a booking engine and chose Genares not only for our mobile site but also for GDS representation and our full-service website. While cost effectiveness is always a top consideration, the look, feel and functionality are also priorities. Combine this with Genares’ service, professionalism and ease of implementation and we felt like we have made a sound business decision,” said Carmel Mission Inn general manager Bob Buescher.

Genares technologies, including the gReserve Central Reservation System and the gMobile integrated mobile booking application, provide seamless connectivity to Global Distribution Systems and access to over 600,000 travel agents using SABRE, Galileo, Worldspan and Amadeus.

The Genares platform was developed in 2005 to deliver customers access to an open-ended and customizable GDS operable entirely in-house without third-party reliance. gMobile is the mobile extension of Genares’ world-class booking engine gBooker, which was created to empower hotels to quickly and efficiently manage Internet bookings.

“The Carmel Mission Inn is one of the premier hotels in the Monterey Bay area, so we are very pleased that they chose Genares’ communications technology to increase exposure to consumers and travel professionals,” said Eugene Harris, president of Genares.
