Austin, Texas USA -- Addressing current hospitality controller issues, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals' (HFTP®) Club and Hotel Controllers Conference education program is stacked full of hot finance topics like internal control reviews, new IRS employment tax audit initiatives, PCI compliance, government matters and more. The conference, co-located with the 2011 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®), is June 20-22 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
"One of the reasons the Club and Hotel Controllers Conference is one of HFTP's most popular boutique conferences year after year is because it offers a strong education program with an intimate setting," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. "But on top of the excellent education, this conference has the ability to offer benefits associated with a larger conference like HITEC."
The conference offers up to 16 continuing education credits and additional opportunities to network with colleagues. With the conference co-located with HITEC 2011, additional benefits include a co-located Welcome Reception with HITEC; specific time set aside for the HITEC exhibit hall featuring hospitality technology vendors and the Club Technology Pavilion; and access to additional education, including HITEC's Opening Session with Facebook's Randi Zuckerberg.
The conference's two full days of education includes two industry-specific concurrent tracks - one for hotels and the other for clubs - and these general sessions:
- Triple Your Money and Triple Your Business with Ron White, memory expert for Ron White Training
Learn how to harness your memory to remember names and build relationships, saving time and money while building customer trust. - Evaluate, Decide, Motivate and Succeed: The Tactics of Great Leaders with Stacey Cooper, JD, senior counsel for Gordon and Rees LLP and Phillip Maltin, JD, partner at Gordon and Rees LLP
Discover a variety of techniques and tactics that make certain leaders great, while learning the skills necessary for you, your subordinates and your business to succeed. - Who Am I, What Am I, Where Am I with Daniel Conti, Jr., CHAE, CAM, director of finance for The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa of Jupiter
Conclude the conference by reflecting on what you learned, how you can bring back value to your company and how to improve as a leader.
