22,500 new recruits are needed internationally - one condition: Interest in new cultures and pioneer spirit
"Our aim is to double our portfolio by 2015," says Reto Wittwer, President and CEO of Kempinski Hotels. "Finding new talent, which will push us further in the future, is and will continue to be our utmost priority. We are looking for candidates who are interested in different cultures, speak various languages and are looking for a bit of an adventure abroad.'
Currently, Kempinski has 66 properties under operation, including landmarks such as the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin, the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Ciragan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul and the Hotel Baltschug Kempinski in Moscow. But there are also outstanding properties in more undiscovered destinations, such as Mongolia or the High Tatras mountains in Slovakia, exotic corners of the world like Ghana and the Seychelles. Kempinski is present in 29 countries worldwide, with new openings ranging from counties in Western and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as China. "If eagerness and talent is combined with a passion for luxury hospitality and a hint of pioneer spirit, chances to have a future with Kempinski are bright", concludes Reto Wittwer.
Numerous entry-level and middle to higher management positions available around the world.
As attractive and diverse as its portfolio are the opportunities for entry level positions. With three- to six-month traineeships complementing college and university courses, and six- to 18-month tailor-made management traineeships after graduation, the sky is the limit for young graduates who wish to join Kempinski. "We constantly work on new training modules and find new ways of making Kempinski even more attractive to students and graduates," explains Henrike Gosemann, Vice President Talent Development. "Young talented people have especially good opportunities to establish themselves within the company and to plan and progress their careers with Kempinski. With some flexibility and interest in new cultures, careers can move forward rather quickly." And the proof is seen everywhere - many of Kempinski's top managers have started their careers at entry level and worked their way up within the company.
