PPHE Hotel Group announces third hotel in Croatia
To open under the upscale Park Plaza® Hotels & Resorts brand
PPHE Hotel Group Limited, owner and operator of primarily full service upscale and lifestyle hotels, today announced the extensive renovation and rebranding of Hotel Medulin – part of the Arenaturist group, a leading hospitality company in Croatia. Scheduled for opening April 2012, Park Plaza Medulin will be the first Croatian opening for the group, with Park Plaza Histria Pula and Park Plaza Verudela Pula opening their doors in May 2012.
Located only a short distance from the historical fishing town of Medulin and a stone's throw from the Medulin Riviera; guests will be able to enjoy Park Plaza Medulin's beautiful sandy beachfront setting with coastline extending for 80km. The only four star hotel with meeting facilities in Medulin, the property is set to undergo a significant transformation to ensure it meets the brand standards associated with the upscale Park Plaza ® Hotels & Resorts brand. Immediate developments include the renovation of 118 rooms, upgraded reception and pool areas.

The hotel is uniquely located in lush, green surroundings offering striking views of the Adriatic Sea. Facilities for guests include complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, two outdoor swimming pools, a new fitness centre complete with modern equipment, a total of 190 contemporary styled guest rooms, family rooms and suites and a newly refurbished restaurant offering Istrian contemporary cuisine.
In April 2008, PPHE Hotel Group Limited became a shareholder in the Arenaturist group and won the management agreement for the entire portfolio which includes eight hotels, five apartment complexes (with a total of 2,868 rooms) and eight campsites.
