Andrew Zolli To Address The Americas Lodging Investment Summit
Washington -- Andrew Zolli, a world-renowned author and futurist, will deliver the keynote opening address during the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) on January 23, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, Calif.
Zolli, a leader of today’s new generation of young futurist, is known for connecting trends in demographics, technology, geopolitics, and business. In addition, he helps multinational corporations, government agencies, and other organizations build a capacity to think about the future in an era of costly surprise.
Recently named one of the 20 outstanding entrepreneurs under the age of 35 by Red Herring magazine, Zolli is the futurist-in-residence for Popular Science magazine, American Demographics magazine, National Geographic, and National Public Radio’s Marketplace. Additionally, Zolli was named one of Fast Company’s Fast 50 for 2005 and
Emerging Explorer by National Geographic. He is also the author of the Catalog of Tomorrow, which explores 100 trends and technologies for the next 25 years.
Zolli is the founder of Z+ Partners, a firm that helps a select number of global companies and institutions see, understand, and respond to complex change. Furthermore, Zolli is the former Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of Siegel & Gale, one of the world’s leading strategy and branding firms, where he helped design and position the American Express Blue Card, Netscape Navigator, the Weather Channel, and a host of other high-profile products and services.
“The hotel industry is rapidly changing, and customers drive that movement. As a next generation futurist and an out-of-the-box presenter, Andrew’s insights and outlook of the future will be of great interest to ALIS delegates,” said BHN President and ALIS Chairman Jim Burba. “Our program planning committee felt it was the right time to get a fresh look at what the future might hold for our industry, and we are pleased to have Andrew deliver the opening address at ALIS.”
Co-hosted by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) and Burba Hotel Network (BHN), ALIS is designed to address the unique needs of the hospitality investment community and provide a meeting and networking place for hotel executives, investors, lenders, developers, and professional financial advisors. ALIS features an extensive array of seminars hosted by leading experts and investors discussing important trends and identifying new opportunities. Proceeds from ALIS will benefit the educational, research, and training missions of the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation, AH&LA’s not-for-profit affiliate.
A complete list of speakers and online registration are available via the ALIS Website at www.ALISconference.com. For general event information and sponsor opportunities, contact BHN Associate Jonathon Zink at (949) 574-3900 or jzink@burba.com.
