Choice Hotels Europe Awards Gatwick Hotel With Clarion Status After £8 Million Makeover

During the 14-month project, the 246-guestroom hotel has undergone a complete renovation and an additional 25 rooms have been added to the original inventory. Extensive work has been carried out in all areas including the exterior of the building, which has been given a new and improved appearance.

There is a contemporary look throughout the hotel and the public areas and bedrooms have the fine quality furnishings and fittings one would expect of a superior 4 star hotel. All of the air-conditioned bedrooms have been designed with both the business and leisure traveller in mind and facilities include blackout curtains, European power sockets, wireless Internet access and videos on demand. For the discerning traveller, there are 64 Executive rooms with dedicated work space and additional amenities including cd player\alarm clock, complimentary fruit and mineral water, upgraded toiletries, bathrobes and laptop safe. Executive room guests have access to another new facility, the Executive Lounge where they can relax, catch up with the latest news on TV or conduct small business meetings. Complimentary tea and coffee is offered throughout the day and wine and canapés are available in the evening.

A new concept in dining has been introduced with the award winning Cube Restaurant where an exciting contemporary menu featuring innovative dishes is offered. The adjoining informal Cube Lounge and Bar has already become a popular daytime venue for guests and local residents with the Costa Coffee menu a firm favourite. For sports lovers, the new Gallery Sports Bar is open every evening and all the major sporting events can be viewed on large plasma screen TVs. A wide selection of meals are also available from the 24 hour in room dining menu.

The hotel has extensive conference and banqueting facilities, built to exacting state of the art standards providing a professional and stylish environment. The 8 suites offer a flexible range of facilities and can accommodate from 2 - 200 persons. Attention to detail included taking particular care in selecting the meeting room chairs to ensure the comfort of delegates attending all day events. The new Arundel Suite has its own private entrance, dedicated foyer with 2 plasma screens and a private bar providing the perfect venue for gatherings of up to 250 guests. The hotel also holds a civil wedding license.

Following an extensive refurbishment, the on-site Elite Health & Fitness Centre provides guests with a range of facilities in addition to the heated indoor pool including a larger gym with a more comprehensive range of exercise equipment, male and female saunas and a range of beauty treatments in the new Tulsi Beauty Salon. The Club is also fully DDA compliant.

In a prime location close to Crawley town centre and within a short drive of Gatwick International Airport, the hotel has the space and facilities to cater for almost every need.
