Brilliant Hotelsoftware Ireland upgrades hotel offering

Dublin, Ireland…Brilliant Hotelsoftware Ireland, the Irish division of Dutch parent Brilliant Hotelsoftware, today announced a significant upgrade in its award winning hotel and restaurant management software. Brilliant Hotelsoftware is now offering centralized Customer Relationship Management (CRM) allowing hotels to match their customers’ needs across entire hotel chains.

Making the announcement in Dublin at the weekend was Holland-based managing partner of Brilliant Hotelsoftware, Patrick Van Der Wardt. “This new module will ensure individual hotels within a single chain can offer the same, consistent service to their customers. This development will be followed by centralised reservations before the end of the year, ensuring that our software can compete with top of the range solutions at a very cost-effective price.”

Brilliant Hotelsoftware Ireland was formed in March following demand from local Irish hospitality customers.

Garret Lloyd, managing director of Brilliant Ireland, said: “Already there are approximately 15 sites in Ireland that use the Brilliant PM Pro property management systems which were sourced directly from Holland. It is obvious there is a need and a demand for quality solutions and accordingly it makes sense to sell and support those systems on the ground.”

The number of hotels in Ireland has grown significantly since 1996, encouraged by generous tax breaks offered by the government; tax breaks which have subsequently been closed off. However, the presence, and extension of this scheme in the last budget, has had the impact of increasing the number of Irish hotel rooms to approximately 45,000 – an increase of 66 percent - over the past nine years.

Last year, a further 30 hotels opened across the country while 217 hotel applications were lodged in time to beat the tax-break deadline.

Brian Edwards, country manager of Brilliant Hotelsoftware Ireland, said: “We have only opened our doors a few months and already we have received orders from a number of hotels, and care actively engaged in talks with many more. The beauty of the Brilliant solution is that is it easily integrated into other hotel systems such as telephone systems or Pay TV.

We don’t just drop off the hotel software and run – we can provide a turnkey solution on all hardware and software integration requirements.
