Sleep Inn comes to London

The thriving banking and business district of London has welcomed its first hotel under the ‘Sleep Inn’ brand, with the official launch of the Sleep Inn City of London from CHE Hotel Group. The eighth Sleep Inn to open in the UK to date, the hotel is one of the largest and promises guests a stylish, comfortable stay, without a hefty price tag.

Specifically designed for the needs of today’s business people on the move, these rooms are at least 10% bigger than the competition. “People need to feel they can work comfortably when they are away from home and feedback from our other Sleep Inn hotels tell us everyone likes the extra space and the business friendly facilities such as Internet and ergonomically designed work desk,” explains Andreas Klohe, General Manager of the new hotel.

“We are delighted to be in such a prime location, near to the Tower of London, one of London’s best known landmarks and with such easy access to Tower Hill station with tube & DLR connections into Central/East London,” explained Andreas. The hotel is exceptionally convenient for ExCel or alternatively 25 minutes by tube from the West End theatres and nightlife. With only 25 minutes travelling time on the DLR to London City Airport, guests have easy access to any City in Europe.

Guest rooms All 163 guest rooms are designed to be around 10% bigger than the competition with superb facilities including air-conditioning, broadband and wireless Internet access, luxury walk-in power shower, direct dial telephones, 23' flat screen cable/satellite TV (with exclusive pay movies) spacious, ergonomic work desks and tea and coffee making facilities as standard.

All of the rooms offer King-size beds as a minimum. Ideal for families, there are 22 Executive rooms offering Super-King beds with two additional pullout beds – ideal for two adults and two children to share together in comfort. In addition, there are four suites for added comfort and nine high spec disabled rooms with inter-connecting doors that feature easy access bathrooms with built in safety devices throughout including grab rails, bathing aides plus strobe lights and vibrating pillows, both linked to the hotel’s fire alarm.

Bar – This bright and contemporary bar serves a range of drafts, bottled beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks - perfect for a refreshing drink with colleagues after a long day’s work. Guests will even be able to watch all the latest sporting events on the high-tech, flat screen TV positioned within the bar.

Coffee shop – A continental style coffee shop, serving branded coffee is available on the ground floor. Destined to be popular with the locals as well, guests can be served with light snacks and hot coffees 24 hours a day.

Restaurant – This relaxed restaurant offers freshly cooked buffet breakfast and a choice of continental breakfast dishes from £8.95. For the remainder of the day, light tasty snacks, main meals and daily specials are available for dinner from £14.95.

Meetings -for small meetings, the hotel features a contemporary style meeting room accommodating 12 guests boardroom style. Fully air-conditioned, the meeting room is equipment with LCD projectors, Internet access, TV and overhead projectors.
