Hot Careers Available in Foodservice and Hospitality – and Everyone is Welcome at the Table of Diversity
SAN FRANCISCO | Jobs in foodservice and hospitality are considered part of the fastest growing employment opportunities. The May 2007 US Department of Labor statistics show the hospitality industry as one of the key gainers in the work force. In addition, employers are taking note that a diverse workforce pays dividends to the bottom line and are strongly reaching out to all communities with significant employment offerings.
In San Francisco on August 8, prominent foodservice and hospitality companies will be working together to encourage job candidates to join this expanding industry as part of the annual conference presented by the Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance (MFHA), a non-profit organization founded to promote diversity and inclusion in the industry.
Over sixty highly established foodservice and hospitality companies are stepping up to the hospitality career industry table and promoting their current career offerings at the Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance Career Fair in San Francisco on August 8th at the Westin St. Francis Hotel from 10 am to 4 pm. Companies such as Sara Lee, ECOLAB, Starbucks, General Mills, MGM Mirage, Walt Disney World, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse and Golden Corral Restaurants will highlight the variety of career path positions available in the ever growing foodservice and hospitality industries.
“Leading companies in the hospitality industry know that a diverse workforce is key to successfully fulfilling the employment needs for our hotels and restaurants. This career fair is a great opportunity for matchmaking—and to introduce the wide variety of hospitality careers to candidates,” said Gerry Fernandez, president of MFHA.
