MCLEAN, VA | As a complement to the prestigious Adrian Awards, three additional awards will be given to honor luxury marketing, eMarketing and “big ideas.”
For the fourth consecutive year, DEPARTURES Magazine will celebrate luxury marketing with its DEPARTURES Magazine “Luxury Marketing Achievement Award.” Recognizing the best print advertising or marketing campaign produced for the luxury market, an independent panel of judges will choose the winning work from all the Adrian Awards gold winners in the luxury category. Past recipients include RockResorts, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, Peninsula Hotels and Holland America Line.
Following its successful debut last year, Yahoo! will again award its coveted “Big Idea Chair” to the company that exemplifies unique and outstanding work, and that delivers the most “big ideas.” Last year’s recipient was Royal Caribbean International who took home the grand prize of Yahoo!’s iconic purple velvet chair. The Adrian Awards join the ranks of other prestigious award competitions at which Yahoo! recognizes excellence by handing out their Big Idea Chair, such as the EFFIE Awards, ADDY Awards, Clio Awards and others.
And, for the sixth year, TravelCLICK will name the “E-Marketer of the Year” and award the hotelier who exhibits outstanding use of electronic channels to promote their property(ies). The award focuses on booking performance driven by electronic advertising and marketing, e-mail marketing initiatives, enhanced website design and competitive intelligence. Prior winners in this category have included Joie de Vivre, Hotel Pennsylvania and Loews Hotels. The TravelCLICK E-Marketer of the Year is chosen from winners in the Adrian Awards Integrated Web Marketing categories.
“These individual awards are a great enhancement to the Adrian Awards program and our overall goal to recognize creative and outstanding work in travel and hospitality marketing,” states Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president & CEO of HSMAI.
The deadline to enter the annual Adrian Awards competition is just days away, as all entries must be submitted online at www.AdrianAwards.com by Friday, Sept. 14.
