AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA | Online attendee registration for the 2008 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) is now available on www.hitec.org. HITEC, a service of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), is the world's largest hospitality technology exposition and conference. HITEC 2008 is June 16-19 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

HITEC 2008 offers a unique combination of top-notch hospitality technology education, led by industry peers and experts, and an unparalleled trade show showcasing the latest hospitality technology products and services from over 300 companies. The trade show features the Club Technology Pavilion, FAVE Awards and a new version of GUESTROOM 2010.
In response to attendee feedback, the Opening Session and Welcome Reception were moved to Monday and are scheduled back-to-back at the Austin Convention Center. There is still a general session on Tuesday morning and Closing Session Thursday afternoon. The rest of the HITEC schedule will remain similar to previous HITECs.
The 2008 Opening Session, held Monday, June 16 at 4:30 p.m., features Michael Tchong, founder of Ubercool, a next-generation marketing services company that publishes and produces trendsetting media and entertainment properties. As a noted trend watcher, Tchong’s 20 years living at the bleeding edge of consumer technology trends has earned him a reputation as one of the savviest thinkers of the information age. His Opening Session explores the exhilarating changes in the current technology landscape, as society rapidly progresses forward in a never-ending quest to weave technology into the fabric of life.
Attendee registration is now available on the web site through June 9. Registrations made through the web site receive an immediate acknowledgement via e-mail. Exhibitor registration is available in the near future.
