Rezidor Announces A New Park Inn In Edinburgh
 The Rezidor Hotel Group announces a new Park Inn in Edinburgh, Scotland: The property with 171 rooms and located in the city centre is scheduled to open its doors in Q3 2010. It is the company’s 4th hotel in town – Rezidor already operates a Radisson SAS on the Royal Mile and is due to open a Park Inn at the airport and a Hotel MISSONI next year.
“Our pipeline in the United Kingdom now features 30 hotels in operation and 19 under development”, comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor, “we are close to a great milestone of 50 properties”.
The Park Inn Edinburgh will be built on a 2,250 square meter site on Leith Walk in the historic-conservation area of the capital city. Princess Street is just a 10 minutes walk away, and further famous attractions such as the Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town are nearby. Besides 171 rooms the hotel will offer a restaurant, a lobby bar & lounge, conference facilities and a fitness room.
Edinburgh itself is one of Europe’s major tourist destinations, attracting some 13 million visitors per year. Also its economy has rapidly grown in recent years – the city is a centre for financial services, banking and insurance.
