Finally Revealed! MPI Announces New Monthly Magazine, One +

DALLAS | After much anticipation, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has launched a new magazine – One + - revealed to an audience of over 4,300 during the opening session of its World Education Congress in Las Vegas today.
With global circulation, the monthly magazine focuses on provocative professional issues and advanced best practices to show how meetings and events can increasingly make a powerful difference for people and organizations all over the world. One + is a continuation of MPI’s commitment to elevate the member conversations and experiences by connecting individuals, businesses and organizations to the knowledge and opportunities that only a 24,000+ member global community can deliver.
So why call the new magazine One +? During co-creation sessions to recreate the magazine, members and partners stressed the importance of focusing on the world of an MPI member; One represents the member – their needs, their experiences, their quests for success. The “+” represents the human connections to ideas, relationships and marketplaces that meeting professionals activate in their quest for personal and organizational success. One + is the meeting professional’s connection to a world of ideas and opportunities in MPI’s global community, multiplying their potential and their opportunities.
“MPI members want and need elevated knowledge and business opportunities in an increasingly competitive environment,” said Bruce MacMillan, president and CEO of MPI. “One + is an entirely new publication that will elevate the conversation in our global community to demonstrate how world over, meeting professionals can make a lasting difference for one individual, an organization or even an entire community. One + truly captures the innovation and passion within our profession,” added MacMillan.
MPI’s new magazine is the culmination of MPI member co-creation and reader input. Through an extensive brand audit and membership and chapter surveys, the global MPI community resoundingly responded that valuable and relevant content is what they most need and want from their involvement with MPI. The new magazine, One +, is a powerful response to member preferences.
“MPI understands better than ever that it is primarily in the content business,” added Vicki Hawarden, vice president of knowledge and events for MPI. “One + is now aligned as part of a knowledge and content team within MPI, to ensure collaboration and information sharing with our other content harvesters and disseminators, such as live events, blogs, chapters, subject matter experts and more. Relevant content will be connected and distributed across multiple channels, ensuring it’s available to the members when and where they need it.”
Although One + features a modern and attractive new design, the focus is all on what’s inside the pages. With five in-depth features per issue, columns by world-renowned experts, highly-regarded writers, an infusion of humor and useful tips, blog highlights and more, the magazine delivers information that is thought provoking and enjoyable to read.
