Rezidor announces the Radisson Hotel Stralsund in Germany
 The Rezidor Hotel Group announces the Radisson Hotel, Stralsund in Germany – the existing property featuring 114 rooms is scheduled to join Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts in Q4 2008. The hotel is directly integrated into the renowned HanseDom thermal wellbeing pools and leisure centre – awarded from the German Wellness Association in 2006. “We keep on growing into depth in Germany which is one of our most important home markets”, said Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. “Our German portfolio of hotels in operation and under development now comprises 48 properties with over 10,000 rooms.”
The city of Stralsund in Northern Germany near the Baltic Sea is linked by two bridges to the island of Rügen. The Radisson SAS Hotel is situated 3 kilometres away from Stralsund’s “Altstadt” (Old Town) which became part of the UNESCO World Heritage in 2002. The nearest airport is Rostock (70 kilometres).
Besides 114 rooms the property comprises a restaurant, a bistro, a mall, conference & banqueting facilities, and another restaurant and 2 bars in the Spa: This famous and prizewinning wellness centre includes both indoor & outdoor saunas, pool areas, tennis & squash courts, a gym hall, a modern cardio fitness club, and 750 parking spaces.
