LANTA | Onity announced today the installation of 1,000 OS200 electronic in-room safes is currently underway at four Rosen Hotels and Resorts in the Orlando area, including the Quality Inn Plaza, the Quality Inn International, the Rodeway Inn International, and the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. The installation will take place over several months and is expected to be complete by mid-summer. The OS200 is one of Onity's newest electronic in-room safes. Its user-friendly operation, coupled with a high level of reliability and functionality makes it an ideal safe for any application. All Onity OS Series safes feature digital PIN code operation, which provides maximum guest security and convenience, as well as low maintenance for hotel staff. For added flexibility, the safes can be programmed with a 3-, 5- or 6-digit PIN code. They also include audit trail reporting that provide detailed reports of safe events, such as openings and closings, and identifies all users. The OS200 provides the audit trail information directly on the LED display for instant verification.
Another feature, Onity’s “Code to Close” technology, prevents accidental locking by requiring the customer to enter their code each time they lock the door of the safe. This greatly reduces the need for hotel personnel to override the safe resulting in savings of both labor costs and staff time. For added savings, OS Series safes are designed for low battery consumption, which provides longer continuous operation and reduced operational costs.
