Gilles Pélisson discusses potential demerging of Accor’s core businesses

As part of the publication of the Group’s 2009 first-half results, Gilles Pélisson announced that a review had been commissioned concerning the demerger of the Group’s two core businesses. Given the faster transformation and development of the Hotels and Services businesses over the past four years, he recommended to the Board of Directors that a review be conducted of the potential benefits of demerging the two businesses into two independant companies, each with their own strategy and resources for growth.
