Nevada Best Western rebrands as Magnuson Hotel

Nevada Best Western rebrands as Magnuson Hotel

Magnuson Hotels, the world’s largest independent hotel group, announced today the complete rebranding of the Best Western in Ely, NV. The 19-room hotel seeks to upgrade its local, regional and national market position with the Magnuson Hotels brand designation. The new brand name will be the Main Motel – An Independent Magnuson Hotel.

Tom Bath, owner of the Main Motel Magnuson Hotel, sought to increase overall quality and fulfill the need to drive more reservations at a lower cost than traditional franchises. “The affiliation with Magnuson Hotels allows me the freedom to provide the best possible experience for my hotel guests, and that is why I am in this business. ”

The Main Motel Magnuson Hotel is within walking distance of historical downtown Ely on Highway 50. Nearby hospitals, universities and attractions include the William Bee Ririe Hospital, Great Basin Community College, White Pine Convention Center, Nevada Northern Railway Museum, and Cave Lake State Park. At the Main Motel Magnuson Hotel, guests will enjoy a continental breakfast, free wireless internet and pet-friendly accommodations. Guests will have convenient access to hiking, golfing, and mountain biking.

Ely is known for its rich Western history with the celebrated Nevada State Railroad Museum. Guests visiting the Main Motel Magnuson Hotel will have an array of activities from which to choose include hunting for garnets in the desert at Garnet Hill, attending a race at the Great Basin Speedway, stopping for an old-fashioned soda at one of our historic drugstores or visiting the Lund’s Pioneer Museum. Ely has plenty of options for the outdoor enthusiast!

“We are delighted to include the Main Motel in our group of over 1,000 independently owned and operated hotels. The Main Motel is a good representation of a smaller hotel property that has hands on management who care about the guest experience,” stated Melissa C. Magnuson, CEO.

As a Magnuson Hotels affiliate, the Main Motel Magnuson Hotel will receive total brand representation in all major U.S. and Canadian markets and market segments, without the costs and requirements of franchise brand affiliation. In contrast to traditional hotel chains that charge a percentage of total hotel revenue, the Main Motel Magnuson Hotel will increase its net income with higher market exposure at a lower cost. All direct revenue to the hotel is non-commissionable and royalty free. The Main Motel Magnuson Hotel will be marketed as “highly differentiated,” yet backed by the quality standards of the world’s largest independent hotel group. The hotel will also receive a 10% brand rebate, paid every six months.
