Onity Appoints Jim Vinson as Vice President of Sales for North America
 Onity has announced the appointment of Jim Vinson to the position of vice president of North America sales. In his new role, Jim will be responsible for sales of all Onity product lines, including electronic locking solutions, in-room electronic safes and energy management systems. He will report to Onity president, Mark Gordon, and will lead the North America sales team for all market segments, including hospitality, education and commercial divisions. Onity, one of the world’s leading providers of electronic locking solutions, is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
Jim joins Onity’s management team with over 30 years experience in the commercial access control market. Since joining Onity in 2008, he has served as VP of commercial sales in the North American region. Prior to joining Onity, his roles included serving as president of Northern Computers, president of SECURITYINC, and vice president of USA Sales for Simons Voss.
Jim holds a BA in Political Science from Western Illinois University and a MS in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University.
