Deloitte - French Industry Performances (May 2010)

After a somewhat gloomy April, the French hotel industry picked up in May. All categories in Paris and throughout France experienced increasing RevPAR, with one exception: 4 star hotels on the Cote d’Azur, whose rooms revenue stagnated.
May 2010 was a good month for business destinations thanks to fewer long weekends this year than last (1st and 8th May fell on a Saturday). Hoteliers also benefited from the presence of guests who were forced to cancel their trips in April due to the ash cloud.
