The proliferation of social media and user-generated content channels has made Internet marketing akin to prospecting in the Wild Wild West. Everybody’s out to grab their territory, but nobody knows what they’re going to do with the land once they claim it. That can lead to confusion between Internet marketers and revenue managers, who must work in alignment if they ever hope to strike gold.
