Morgans Hotel Group Appoints Fernando Cerna as Director of Global Sales

NEW YORK -- Morgans Hotel Group Co. (Nasdaq: MHGC) ("MHG") today named Fernando Cerna Director of Global Sales, effective immediately. Cerna will be an integral part of wholesale initiatives and strategy for the entire Morgans Hotel Group portfolio. Cerna joins Morgans from Grove Isle Hotel and Spa where he was Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to that Cerna had a very successful 10-year career with Morgans, holding positions in both operations and sales at the iconic Delano in South Beach and on the company's Miami Regional Sales Team.
