AH&LA Partners With Renovation/remediation/disaster Response Company
Washington | The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) has added Response, a Dallas-based renovation, remediation, and disaster response company, to its suite of member discount programs. Response’s First Response Program provides AH&LA members with a proven four-tier solution that is the most comprehensive package of recovery services in the industry. It is specifically designed to safeguard their property should a disaster occur. Exclusively for AH&LA members, Response will waive the $10,000 enrollment fee for Response's First Response Program.
“With the 2007 hurricane season approaching quickly, it’s important that the hospitality industry knows there’s help available to them in the unfortunate event that disaster strikes,” noted Dinesh Chandiramani, vice president of Response. “It will always be a challenge to get a hotel up and running following a disaster. But, in times of emergency, Response’s First Response Program has a proven track record of quickly getting hotels in working order so they can focus on the needs of their guests and clientele.”
Following hurricanes Charlie and Katrina, Response worked closely with national and local hotel management teams in Florida and Louisiana to restore their hotels to a functional level within weeks following the devastation left behind by these natural disasters. Though damage to the hotels was extensive, Response assisted management teams in safely removing and replacing damaged sheetrock, furniture, and carpeting.
“This is a key industry program, and one we are excited to offer to our members,” said AH&LA President/CEO Joseph A. McInerney, CHA. “The First Response Program is truly unique and offers reliable resources and services that should be considered for inclusion in a hotel’s emergency preparedness program.”
