Micros Acquires Hayman Systems, the Largest Distributor of Micros's Products in North America

BELTSVILLE, Md. / Dec. 29, 1999--MICROS Systems, Inc. [NASDAQ: MCRS] , the global leading provider of hospitality information technology, today announced its purchase of Hayman Systems, a Laurel, MD based company.

Hayman Systems is the largest distributor of MICROS products in the U.S and Canada. Hayman Systems operates in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Hayman Systems also operates in south Florida under the name MICROS of South Florida.

Hayman Systems is a value-added reseller and systems integrator of point-of-sale systems to the hospitality and retail industries.

Founded in 1938 by Stanley Hayman as a cash register company, Hayman Systems has grown to serve thousands of retail and hospitality customers in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. corridor and South Florida including Marriott International, Host Marriott Services, T.G.I.Friday's Restaurants, FedEx Field, Doral Resort and Country Club, Joe's Stone Crab Restaurant, BWI and Dulles International airports.

Hayman Systems will be renamed MICROS-Fidelio Southeast. It will continue to operate as it has but under the new name and supplemented by the additional resources of its new parent company, MICROS Systems, Inc.
