Holt Named Chairman Of The Board Of Directors For The 2000 International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show

Holt, a veteran in the hotel industry, currently serves as the general manager of Best Western Inn & Suites at the Commons in Cooperstown, NY. Previously, Holt spent 27 years with Howe Caverns, Inc., in Howes Cave, NY where he began his career as the snack bar attendant in 1972 and eventually became resident motel manager, a position he held until 1999.

Holt's involvement in industry organizations include: Immediate past chairman for the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association (NYSH&TA) and a board member since 1988; member of the board of directors for the American Hotel & Motel Association (AH&MA); and a delegate representing New York state and the United States on behalf of the International Hotel & Restaurant Association (IH&RA).

In addition to Holt, the 2000 IH/M&RS Board includes: Secretary Daniel C. Murphy of the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association; Treasurer Joseph E. The 85th International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show will be held November 11 - 14, 2000, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The Show is sponsored by the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association, the Hotel Association of New York City, and the American Hotel & Motel Association and is managed by George Little Management, Inc.
