SMS|Host Users Group Presents the 20th Anniversary HUG Conference
LAS VEGAS, NV. | The SMS|Host Users Group announces the 2009 SMS|Host Users Group Conference, November 1-5, 2009 at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida. 2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the formation of the SMS|Host Users Group and the annual users conference.
The Host Users Group is distinguished as the only users group within the hospitality technology industry to be run by the users, for the users. Beginning in 1989, HUG formed to assist members in maximizing the utilization of the SMS|Host property management system from PAR Springer-Miller Systems, Inc. The organization serves its members by providing a united forum through which users can share knowledge, create solutions and influence product direction.
For the 20th anniversary of HUG, users from more than 70 properties from around the globe will gather at the beautiful Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida for four days of discussion, learning and networking. The conference agenda features 66 breakout sessions targeted to the different disciplines within a hotel: front desk, reservations, information technology, revenue management, golf/spa/recreation, food and beverage, housekeeping/engineering, and accounting. Sessions and discussion groups led by SMS|Host users offer other users the unique opportunity to learn best practices from their peers.
PAR Springer-Miller Systems supports the SMS|Host Users Group as a major sponsor and leads training sessions as well as offering users the opportunity to work one-on-one with product experts. The 2009 HUG Conference also features a keynote address from Microsoft Corporation's Hayan Ortega, Industry Market Development Manager, US Retail and Hospitality Industry. An exhibitor area features over 20 vendors.
