Fairweather Group selects xenon©CRS central reservation system
Norwalk, CT: Hotel Data Systems (HDS) announced today that The Fairweather Group, has selected the xenon©CRS central reservation system for its Florida based reservations center.
Based in Boca Raton, Florida, USA the well established Fairweather Group manages a number of luxury resorts in Antigua. These include such upscale resorts as the St. James Club, Royal Antiguan, Galley Bay and Pineapple Beach. The company benefits from an exclusive repeat clientele developed over the years from focused marketing.
The selection of the xenon©CRS from HDS was made after an extensive evaluation. Fairweather Group wanted to make sure that their new CRS platform would take them beyond the year 2000 in terms of reservation capability. The software also had to be flexible enough to work with the selling patterns of the reservation Agents. In addition, the software had to meet the extensive requirements of a luxury class resort environment, particularly the area of guest history and customer profiles. Finally, the company wanted a software platform fully compatible with Windows and SQL Server.
The installation of the xenon©CRS, a highly developed and sophisticated NT-based solution is expected to put The Fairweather Group at the cutting edge of technology with the ability to manage and exchange information instantly and efficiently. xenon©CRS will be able to consolidate all marketing and reservation point-of-sale data in a central data warehouse for detailed analysis. The CRO, which will control the inventory, will be responsible for transmission of all reservations to the properties. Future enhancements will include PMS interfaces. The installation of the xenon©CRS is expected to dramatically increase the reservation conversion rate and increase occupancies through the availability of historical information. The systems provide extensive occupancy and revenue management, detailed reporting and even more important, provide a further increase in overall customer service through the ability to track service calls, always an important issue for luxury resorts.
Commenting on this agreement, Paul Firos, President of HDS said, "This is a significant development in terms of being able to offer our high end solution to a small call center. We know there is a large market for CRS software in smaller call centers, however the problem was that although these companies required the same functionality found in high-end solutions, the pricing of the high-end solutions was still not attractive. Any software vendor can offer a price break on the software but it's the training, hidden hardware costs and on-going support costs that still impact the customer. We were able to bundle the entire package into an offering that made it attractive for a small call center. HDS can install the same xenon©CRS software from the smallest to the largest call center, which is a feat by itself! Since xenon©CRS is also database independent, we use the same software with SQL Server, Informix and Oracle which gives an extra level of flexibility and scalability!"
