WORLDSPAN Global Travel Information Services

ATLANTA, Sept. 15 / Visitors to WORLDSPAN'S home page on the World Wide Web are entering a dramatically different environment. Located at the company's established web address (www.worldspan.com), the recently- launched site is home to a full spectrum of WORLDSPAN travel technology product and service information. The site displays engaging new graphics, is more informative and is easier to navigate. It has also matured with an array of links to other valuable travel sites and resources. This is the first major revision to WORLDSPAN's site, which premiered in 1996.

The site takes advantage of the latest Internet browsers, in keeping with WORLDSPAN's rapid advancement toward a GDS platform that works in conjunction with the World Wide Web. While the new site is built to take advantage of the latest navigation technologies, it does not exclude access by visitors with more basic connectivity requirements.

Said WORLDSPAN Vice President of Sales and Marketing Sue Powers, " WORLDSPAN's new home page is far richer and will continue to evolve, offering valuable tools to our travel agency and corporate customers, consumers, travel suppliers, and other companies involved in the travel information, distribution and transaction processing business worldwide."

Upon arrival at www.worldspan.com, visitors encounter four distinct areas:

ABOUT US presents WORLDSPAN's company and executive profiles, worldwide locations, and employment opportunities within the company.

PRODUCTS gives in-depth reviews of WORLDSPAN's diverse product line, including the WORLDSPAN for Business Travel corporate travel technology and travel agency tools.

SERVICES offers a comprehensive listing of WORLDSPAN participating travel suppliers worldwide, corporate travel services, training offerings, and third-party developer information.

RESOURCES puts consumers in touch with local travel agencies, provides information for starting a travel agency, lists endorsed travel schools

around the country and includes links to other travel sites on the Web.

The site was created by Atlanta-based Point of Vision Design Group, Inc., which specializes in communication design and new media integration. President and Creative Director Bob Kadrie describes WORLDSPAN's home page as a " refreshing change of pace. As a global technology company, WORLDSPAN embraces the latest tools of the trade. People visiting their home page using a 4.0 generation browser are never more than two clicks away from any area of the site."

WORLDSPAN offers a number of Internet capabilities, services and technologies, including WORLDSPAN GO!(SM), a revolutionary concept in travel technology. WORLDSPAN Go! represents a new world of Internet/Intranet-based travel. Customers will ultimately have high-speed digital access to a worldwide electronic marketplace, including travel supplier databases, the Internet, e-mail, fax, and Go! Extranet servers, providing travel agents with point-and-click technology for accessing and conducting every aspect of travel planning.

In 1995, WORLDSPAN entered into an agreement with Microsoft(R) Corporation to supply transaction processing services and a database of airline schedules, fares and availability for Expedia, Microsoft's consumer travel booking system. For its travel agency and airline customers worldwide, WORLDSPAN offers a selection of Internet Booking Engines (IBE) and an Internet-based, self-booking tool for corporate travelers, WORLDSPAN Trip Manager(SM).

WORLDSPAN offers a broad selection of reservations, ticketing and office automation products to the U.S. and international travel industry, including Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific. The company is primarily owned by affiliates of Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and Trans World Airlines. WORLDSPAN's world headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia, and WORLDSPAN's international division headquarters are located in London.
