Ramada Ranked Top Mid-Tier Hotel Franchise In Entrepreneur Magazine's Annual Franchise 500
Parsippany, NJ (January 12, 1999)--Ramada Franchise Systems, Inc. received the highest ranking of any mid-tier hotel chain in Entrepreneur magazine's Annual Franchise 500 listing. The listing, which included franchise operations from various industry categories, is based on, among other things, financial performance, corporate management, growth and stability, franchisor/franchisee relationship and growth opportunities for franchisees.
The Ramada chain ranked 55th and was posted over major hotel names like Radisson Hotels Worldwide (#134) and Hilton Inns, Inc. (#197).
"Ramada's recent announcement of 1,000 properties nationwide highlights the chain's unprecedented growth and revitalization," said Steve Belmonte, President and CEO. "Since Ramada's acquisition by Cendant eight years ago, the chain has been a solid performer, more than doubling the number of properties in the system."
The Ramada chain also saw its excellent service rating jump an incredible 23% in the first half of 1998 over the first half of 1997 levels as reported by D.K. Schifflet Associates, Ltd.
