As chief marketing officer, Moser takes responsibility for all of the company's marketing, sales, advertising, public relations and growing Internet presence and strategy. In addition to leading a marketing and sales team of 75, a key aspect of the position will be to work directly with the company's managing directors to help set branding growth and strategies.
Moser steps into his role following the departure of Robert Tully. Tully, who had spent 25 years with Manhattan East in numerous on-property and corporate positions, stepped down in April citing health reasons.

"John's stewardship and vision in the development, opening and ongoing success of The Benjamin made him the natural choice to step into this position to help take the company to the next level."

Moser's input was integral in the development of The Benjamin, a 209-room luxury hotel located in midtown Manhattan at East 50th Street and Lexington Avenue. Prior to The Benjamin, Moser was general manager of the company's Dumont Plaza for eight years. Before that he was general manager at the Shelburne Murray Hill following positions at the Beekman Tower Hotel and the Surrey Hotel. A native New Yorker, Moser is 4 handicap golfer, playwright and competitive sailor. He currently lives in Manhattan with his wife and two sons.
