AAHOA Southeast Regional Conference Comes To Atlanta
19 September 2002

Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA)

ATLANTA, September 19, 2002 - Today promises to be an exciting day for the AAHOA member and vendor community as the Southeast Regional Conference is taking place at the Gwinnett Civic & Cultural Center from 9 a.m. until the entertainment ends well into the evening. With attendee expectations of more than 600 AAHOA members and registration confirmed for 225 vendors representing over 85 companies, this traditionally successful blending of buyers and suppliers is among the largest of AAHOA regional events.

"Atlanta has always been a strong hub for AAHOA," said Mike Amin, chairman, AAHOA. "With our national office here and a strong tradition of leadership and member participation stemming from this area, I'm very happy that we're able to bring a day full of educational and networking opportunities to our member and vendor community in the Southeast region."

Among the many opportunities available to attendees today is the largest offering of educational seminars outside of the AAHOA annual convention. Members will be encouraged to attend any of the eight educational seminars offered covering a wide variety of topics such as: direct marketing; SBA and hotel loans; the STAR report; and due diligence among many others.

"Education is a very important part of AAHOA's mission," said Piyush Mulji, regional director, Southeast region, AAHOA. "It's one of the elements the members in my region traditionally ask for, and therefore it's an area I have focused on in planning the Southeast Regional Conference."

Another area of focus for Mulji and the AAHOA staff has been the tradeshow and other networking opportunities such as a member/vendor luncheon and dinner. And, no AAHOA event would be complete without an evening of entertainment - the Melody Makers of England will take the stage at 8:00 p.m.

"Today promises to be a great success," concluded Amin. "Members are the top priority for AAHOA, and it's through events like this one that we're able to bring benefits of membership to them directly. It's also through events like this one that the leadership and members are able to voice concerns, address issues and discuss AAHOA's present and future face-to-face."
