Electrobug Tracks Online Hotel Rates So You Don't Have To

LONDON -- Following onto the Hotel Electronic Distribution Association's (HEDNA) semi-annual conference in Montreal, Canada, Electrobug Technologies Limited is please to launch the latest version of its Hotel Channel Manager product. The product, initially unveiled at HEDNA's December conference, collates online pricing data from various channels into easy to use Excel and HTML reports, which revenue managers then use to help set their own rates.

"This latest version of the Channel Manager is based on significant research and interviews with hoteliers of all sizes." said Mark Heynen, Electrobug's co-founder and Managing Director. "It provides hoteliers a complete overview of how their rates and their competitor rates are being presented throughout online channels It gives hoteliers the data they want, the way they want it, and allows them to cut and dice the data in very meaningful ways."

Hoteliers can cut the data online into By Date, By Hotel, By Site, and also By Type reports. This last cut is the most unique, as it imitates the searching methodology used by most consumers, i.e., looking for a certain type of deal, rather than a specific brand. This is only possible because of Electrobug's sophisticated pattern matching algorithms, and extensive experience in doing feature-based comparisons in a number of industries. It is not available anywhere else.

Electrobug has recently signed up a number of undisclosed leading hoteliers to trial the service. While Electrobug does not advertise its trials, it is proud to have on its client list companies such as Expedia, Opodo, Lastminute, EasyJet, and FlyBe. The company is working closely with Alyson Dombey from Partners in Marketing to evolve the hotels offerings to ensure they continuously serve the industry's needs.
