Roland Tanner - Vice President Product Development, Pegasus Solutions, Inc. With almost 15 years of hospitality industry experience, Roland Tanner has specialized in electronic distribution for the last eight years. In his current role as vice president of product development for Pegasus, Tanner manages existing Pegasus services and new product development, which includes the pricing, packaging and positioning of products and services such as central reservation systems, online distribution, commission processing, electronic distribution, and GDS services.

Prior to assuming this role in February 2003, Tanner was vice president of information technology and distribution for Pegasus' Utell hotel marketing and representation service. Tanner oversaw a wide range of technology areas for Utell, including software development and the maintenance and enhancement of electronic distribution channels.

Tanner joined Pegasus in 1998 as vice president of electronic distribution, managing electronic distribution services for more than 8,000 hotels within the Pegasus portfolio, as well as the operation of four international database centers. Earlier in his career, Tanner was reservations director for Forte and Le Meridien, where he managed distribution and voice reservations operations for a portfolio of 550 properties.

Tanner is active in travel industry peer organizations, particularly with HEDNA, the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association. Tanner is currently serving his second year as president of HEDNA, of which he has been a member since 1994.
