Four Seasons Hotel Miami opened October 1st - Resort-like Atmosphere in the Heart of the City

TORONTO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts opens its first property in Miami today. The 221-room hotel is housed in the 70-storey Four Seasons Hotel and Towers, a mixed-use development that also includes condominiums and retail and office space. This structure redefines Miami's skyline as the city's tallest building, centrally located on Brickell Avenue, in the heart of Miami's financial district.

"Business travelers to Miami will now be able to take advantage of our hallmark 24-hour services in a relaxed setting that has the feel of a city resort," said Wolf Hengst, president, worldwide hotel operations, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. "Our aim is to provide business travelers with everything they need to be productive and do so in an atmosphere that gives them the opportunity to mix business with pleasure."

The hotel's seventh floor, two-acre Bahia Terrace, features lush landscaping surrounding three large swimming pools, shaded alcoves and a poolside bar. Overlooking the Terrace, the Hotel's restaurant, Acqua, features Northern Italian cuisine and an extensive wine list. Cocktails at 14-Thirty-Five Bar, named after the Hotel's street number, promises to become a regular event for guests, local business people and neighbours alike.

The relaxing atmosphere of the Hotel makes it a perfect place to bring the family with the company's popular Kids for All Seasons program, where children can be entertained with a variety of activities while their parents concentrate on work or relaxation. Guests of Four Seasons Hotel Miami also have easy access to the spa and fitness facilities of the 44,000-square-foot Sports Club/LA, located within the building.

Groups will find the Hotel equally appealing. An entire floor of Four Seasons Hotel Miami is dedicated to the meetings, events and special occasions with 14,210 square feet of function space. Meeting rooms are grouped around an atrium courtyard with a sunny promenade, providing natural light in much of the meeting space. The 5,830 square foot ballroom can host events for up to 670 people.
